Justification for Intervention Strategy I have selected the medium cost intervention strategy because at the initial stage a corporate entity is involved. This involvement will aid in the diffusion of the project using Walgreens as a corporate leader in the community. The first strategy may not be feasible in establishing a project such as the size and magnitude I envision. Using the second strategy as a pilot will set the stage and open the door for positive outcomes and powerful stories to be told as mentioned in Dr. Rossetts video. The third strategy does not meet the goal of collaborative community project because I believe it will be difficult for each program to let go of its specific program goals and objectives and embrace the goals and objectives of the program. By selecting the second strategy, a separate program will be established specifically and primarily for fulfilling the needs and goals of the community. It will not be listed as a secondary objective as it is currently in programs such as the two honor clubs in the school. Using this strategy will instill a sense of belonging to the community.
Project Manager Responsibilities
As surmised by Januszewski and Molenda in the concept of managing and leading (2008), I want to be more than a manger that controls. I want to lead the school in helping students to see the potential of their community. My role will consist of coordinating the efforts of the school combined with the efforts of Walgreens Pharmacy. As the community project leader, I will request volunteers from the schools established organizations with a community service component and from the student body. Invitations will be sent to specific students with exemplary character and work ethics. I will also ask for adult volunteers from parents, teachers, administrators, and staff. During the initial meeting, the purpose and goal will be announced along with the introduction of the corporate leaders.
Resources used in the project will mainly consist of people and transportation. Depending on the project assignments, the resources may change. Garbage bags for clean up and computer and software for documenting areas being assisted and student participation will be needed and kept in a centralized location. On occasion, Walgreens will provide food, drinks, and other motivational items for the students.
School websites along with other publishing techniques will be used to inform the community of the projects. Flyers, invitations, and the local media will be used prior to the project to promote its success. One student will be in charge of creating a social media page to attract the attention of their peers in the school system. The tool will also be used to document past, present, and future projects in the area. Friends of the site will be approved by the project manager, and observation of the site will be the responsibility of an adult appointee.

I beleive I need other documentation besides my thoughts, ideas, and plans. What do you guys think?
